Christmas morning, Hikaru will find a neatly wrapped gift waiting for him. Inside is a long cat plush, a cozy sherpa throw blanket and a package of chocolate chip cookies. Alongside a handwritten note.

You struck me as a cat person and I'm really hoping I guessed right on that. Although I guess either way you might think something like this is a little silly as a gift? So I also got you something to keep warm with this winter and a tasty treat. There's plenty if you wanted to share with a friend too. I'm really glad I was given the chance to meet you. And I hope we can continue to spend time together in the new year. Merry Christmas!

There's a small bauble, ornate in its making outside in a not so great wrapped box but he tried.

Izuku does have a very small tree he put up with a few strands of lights and the like just to feel a little more festive. So he carefully adds the bauble to it and sends Hikaru a picture.

[ Though Gojo skipped most of the travel opportunities offered up to the Outsiders, he was interested in the fight rings of Vegas. While he was there, he took the opportunity to do his Christmas shopping. Since Hikaru is important to Megumi, he made the list. An obnoxiously festive gift bag will be dropped outside Hikaru's door. He gets a keychain of a rabbit with antlers and two bags of salt water taffy labeled Frickly Prickly (prickly pear flavored) and Pterodactyl Ptaffy (breakfast cereal flavored). The flavor decisions of American small gift shop taffy-makers are truly a mystery. ]

[In reality, Hikaru isn't sure what he's expecting. Anything. He's staying clear of Megumi, and far away from Midoriya who has already expressed his usual lack of self-preservation.

Hikaru, however, wants to trust. The hours ticking down don't matter. He's said and done what he needs to. Or well, what he wants to. His eyes tick to the message on his ocular.

Thank God, he doesn't have to try to take a life away today in order to save his body and himself. Both of different importance now to different people. He hopes his trust is put in the right person this time. The last time he had something like this happen...
